Martin Associates’ most recent economic analysis for the Florida Port Council was used in the Council’s request for $3.5 billion in aid to help the U.S. seaports and maritime business recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The letter sent to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer this week referenced the nearly 169,000 jobs that could be lost in Florida as a result of COVID-19.
